This is a long time later, but I just found these. I like the way you think: going for that balance between photo-ish, and toonish, and leaving out some of the excessive shine, and gently indicated anatomy! And geneticized, too, yum.
Thank you. The only think that would make me even happier is a couple more dark shades . . .
